Thumbs up Yojimbo - Mac Software Recommendation!

Bare Bones Software - Yojimbo.

Yojimbo "One of the most innovative new programs I have seen in years"!

This software WILL CHANGE the way you bookmark web sites, log your passwords, store your serial numbers, track email receipts, maintain your web site log-in information, store your favorite photos, store your PDF documents, and more... you name it. If you know how to set up and use iTunes, then you will fly on YoJimbo. I especially like the wicked fast searches it can perform based on key words and categories. Check out the "Archive Web Site" feature you can add to Safari or FireFox... it's very cool!

You can build any number of categories (similar to a playlist in iTunes), then drag & drop any anything from the main list to a specific category located on the left sidebar. This is in addition to the ability to add keywords & phrases to any entry. If you "Archive a Web Page", the entire web page (with all links and perfect formatting) will be made available within that entry... the great thing is, when you do a search based on key words or phrases, Yojimbo will search the Archived Web pages and produce search results that will include any pages (or documents/notes) that contain the key words or phrases you requested.

Try this! Make a category called "Read Later". When your surfing the net, simply click on the "Bookmark Yojimbo" link at the top of Safari or FireFox. If you use the phrase "Read Later" as a key word phrase when adding the bookmark... you will be able to instantly find all pages you'd like to review later in one click. I add the "Read Later" entries to a side category- also called "Read Later"; Clicking on the left side bar category will instantly show every entry you've placed in that category (including any bookmarks, notes, PDF's, photos, articles, log-ins, serial numbers-whatever), anything you've assigned.

Consider This! Organize your projects using YoJimbo.

Easily add screen shots, links, web sites, articles, documents and notes to any "Project Category"... I use it to log my Pro Tools sessions (this is a great way to document everything).

Download the 30 day Demo, you won't regret it!
